Eric Clapton & Paul McCartney - While My Guitar Gently Weeps [HD]
Concert For George [1080p] (29 November 2002, Royal Albert Hall, London) George Harrison (25 February 1943 - 29 November 2001) was an English musician, singer and songwriter who achieved international fame as the lead guitarist of the Beatles. Although John Lennon and Paul McCartney were the band's primary songwriters, most of their albums included at least one Harrison composition, including "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", "Here Comes The Sun" and "Something", which became the Beatles' second most-covered song. Harrison's earliest musical influences included Big Bill Broonzy, George Formby and Django Reinhardt. By 1965 he had begun to lead the Beatles into folk rock through his interest in the Byrds and Bob Dylan, and towards Indian classical music through his use of the sitar on "Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)". He developed an interest in the Hare Krishna movement and became an admirer of Indian culture and mysticism, introducing them to the other members of the Beatles and their Western audience by incorporating Indian instrumentation in their music. After the band's break-up in 1970, Harrison released the triple album "All Things Must Pass", from which two hit singles originated. He also organized the 1971 Concert For Bangladesh with Ravi Shankar, a precursor for later benefit concerts such as Live Aid. Harrison was a music and film producer as well as a musician; he founded Dark Horse Records in 1974 and co-founded HandMade Films in 1978. Harrison released several best-selling singles and albums as a solo performer, and in 1988 co-founded the platinum-selling supergroup the Traveling Wilburys. A prolific recording artist, he was featured as a guest guitarist on tracks by Badfinger, Ronnie Wood and Billy Preston, and collaborated on songs and music with Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton and Tom Petty, among others. Rolling Stone magazine ranked him number 11 in their list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time". Harrison's first marriage, to Pattie Boyd, ended in divorce in 1977. The following year he married Olivia Trinidad Arias, with whom he had one son, Dhani. Harrison died in 2001, aged 58, from lung cancer. He was cremated and his ashes were scattered in the Ganges and Yamuna rivers in India, in a private ceremony according to Hindu tradition. He left almost £100 million in his will. "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" is a song written by George Harrison, first recorded by the Beatles in 1968 for their eponymous double album (also known as "The White Album"). The song was ranked #136 on Rolling Stone's list of "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time", #7 on their list of the 100 Greatest Guitar Songs of All Time, and #10 on their list of The Beatles 100 Greatest Songs. In an online poll held by Guitar World magazine in February 2012, "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" was voted the best of Harrison's Beatle-era songs. Inspiration for the song came to Harrison when reading the I Ching, which, as Harrison put it, "seemed to me to be based on the Eastern concept that everything is relative to everything else... opposed to the Western view that things are merely coincidental." As he said: "I wrote 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' at my mother's house in Warrington. I was thinking about the Chinese I Ching, the Book of Changes... The Eastern concept is that whatever happens is all meant to be, and that there's no such thing as coincidence - every little item that's going down has a purpose. 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' was a simple study based on that theory. I decided to write a song based on the first thing I saw upon opening any book - as it would be relative to that moment, at that time. I picked up a book at random, opened it, saw 'gently weeps', then laid the book down again and started the song." The band recorded the song several times. Take I on 25 July 1968 involved Harrison on his J-200 guitar and an overdubbed harmonium. Sessions on 16 August and 3 and 5 September included a version with a backward guitar solo (as Harrison had done for "I'm Only Sleeping" on Revolver), but Harrison was not satisfied. On 6 September 1968, during a ride from Surrey into London, Harrison asked his friend Eric Clapton to add a lead guitar solo to the song. Clapton was reluctant; he said, "Nobody ever plays on the Beatles' records"; but Harrison convinced him and Clapton's solo, using Harrison's Gibson Les Paul guitar "Lucy" (a recent gift from Clapton), was recorded that evening. Harrison later said that in addition to his solo, Clapton's presence had another effect on the band: "It made them all try a bit harder; they were all on their best behaviour." Clapton wanted a more "Beatley" sound, so the solo was run through an ADT circuit with engineer Chris Thomas manually 'waggling' the oscillator: "apparently Eric said that he didn't want it to sound like him. So I was just sitting there wobbling the thing, they wanted it really extreme, so that's what I did."

House Tour (Moving House Vlog)
Facebook: http://ift.tt/1o5khQ5 Twitter: https://twitter.com/charalanahzard I'm moving house (well, a few days ago - I filmed this before we packed up so the house was how I remember it but I left on the 17th!) and I just wanted a vlog to remember the house and be able to capture all of my memories and stuff, particularly after losing my dog and having most of my memories of her there. Also lots of amazing parties (such a good house for parties!) and just generally my entire life as a teenager. I'm really sentimental about dumb stuff so moving house is a big deal to me. We're actually just moving because my step dad is getting older and isn't comfortable walking up the stairs anymore, nor are my other older relatives who come to stay. That and the house is unrealistically big for 4 people, especially when my sister moves out. Plus we've lived here for ages so we're updating to a newer and more modern house! Hopefully getting a puppy soon too. I loved my dog so, so, so much - absolutely more than anything else in my life, but I do think having a new dog will hugely help me and my constant state of dismay that I don't have Bella around for company anymore. When we get to the new house I'm also going to have a dedicated gaming room (I kinda hate having all of my collectables and electronics in my bedroom, to be totally honest) so I'll have an updated gaming room tour when we're all settled in, and maybe after I finally build a PC. I'll also have a 3rd glass cabinet before then because I'm all out of room AGAIN. DAMN IT ALANAH STOP BUYING THINGS. Anyway, sorry this video is boring and overly personal and I'm sure nobody will really watch or find it interesting but it's just something I wanted to document for myself. I didn't really need to publish it on YouTube - but I figure I may as well. Just keeping it on a computer isn't particularly safe and hey, you guys have requested some more personal stuff every now and then! Anyway, that's it, until next time sexy motherlickers.
